Will Print Media Survive?

What will happen to print media? How long will it survive? Even with the evolution of the MP3 player, sales of CDs have been decreasing as people turn to digital media formats of their favorite tracks. Will this happen to newspapers, magazines and ads as well as people resort to the internet to blogs and sites for their daily dose of news and entertainment? At this rate, it seems like it will.

People are turning to online media as opposed to print media because it is free, convenient to access and more dynamic.

Since print media is free, people can simply access all of the information and news that they are looking for free on many blogs and websites.

Convenience is a major factor as well. People are simply lazy: if you can access everything you want at any hour of the day without moving out of your chair, wouldn’t you?

The online media is much more dynamic than print media! Blogs are sometimes updated several times a day. This can only be done with the online media because it is easy to do so for the publisher and it’s also free! The distribution of the news/article can also be done at a push of a button.

I don’t think print media will disappear from the face of the Earth during our lifetime but it will still decrease dramaticall since the online media has so much to offer.
